Piranha-II

It soon became obvious, that while the Piranha submarines are very reliable around the Europan Ridge, they are not prepared to deal with what lies deeper. That's when the idea of the Piranha-II was born. The shape is still similar, but this one is much larger, heavily armed and even features a drone. Piranha-II is a submarine designed to dive and explore the deepest and the most dangerous parts of the Europa's subsurface.

Main features:

Diver support drone

Piranha-II comes equipped with an ultra small drone designed to follow divers into caves, which allows crew members that stayed on board to assist crew members who went exploring. Even though it has no interior, it does have a few things:

• Cabinet for item transportation

• Battery charger

• Oxygen bottle refilling port

• Omnidirectional lamp

• Miniature electrical discharge coil, which comes at the price of a long recharge period

• Railing that can tow players if they're next to it

• Arm that can hold an alien artifact

Drone can be controlled normally through a shuttle navigation terminal, but for a better navigation of caves a less standard periscope control mode is available:

• When drone periscope is in use drone switches to periscope control

• Hold trigger to accelerate in the direction you are looking at

• Triple tap trigger to activate discharge coil (it needs to be rhythmic instead of as fast as possible - it should activate first lamp, then second and then it will fire)

• Switch placed on the periscope can be used to toggle drone's light on and off/
