Lockdown button is a switch which can lock the outside airlock door. When the outside door in lock condition, a red light beside will on and the outside door cannot open from outside ,which will prevent husk from going inside your submarine and hurting your crew. So just let the red light on when you and your crew are inside. The ballast cabin now can change to backup room.
