Please note: This mod is primarily designed for German-speaking players. Additionally, the community behind it only plays German role-playing games via voice chat.

The KSE Community Mod

The KSE Community Mod is the heart of the KSE Barotrauma gaming community. Our goal is to make the already great Barotrauma experience even more immersive through a slightly more military focus. Through our ongoing mod development, we aim to provide players with additional RP opportunities during their adventures on board.

What is the KSE Community?

We are a group of players who simply enjoy playing Barotrauma in a slightly more "military" RP setting. The community regularly hosts moderated game sessions with the involvement of a dedicated event team. What is currently included in the mod?

• New roles such as Enlisted, Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO), or Officer.

• Custom service and duty uniforms with rank insignia (based on the German Navy) and national emblems.

• Matching headgear for proper military appearance and to keep warm (side caps, base caps, and peaked caps in various designs).

• New vests and belts to store more equipment on the body.

• Radiation protection suit to guard against the dangers of the nuclear reactor.

• New, stylish Coalition diving suits.

• Many Quality of Life improvements to make life on board more interesting (e.g., cleaning sponges, brooms, jukebox with custom music by Trisha Ryan, tobacco products, etc.).

• New alarm systems and buttons.

• New ship interior (plants, monitors, wall backgrounds, etc.).

• New creatures trying to get under your skin.

• New weapons, such as the service pistol, to defend against said creatures.

• New ID cards/authorization cards.

*** The Nutrition Expansion ***

• New hunger afflictions (Hungry, Satiated, Overstuffed, Nausea, Food Poisoning).

• Raw food items for processing (new fish and meat variants, vegetables, fruits, etc.).

• Cooked food items.

• Water management (seawater can now be utilized).

• Cooking station and refrigerator.

• The obligatory chef's hat as headgear.

• Chef's knife, cooking pot, and pan with custom sounds.

• Seaweed growing on cliffs that can be processed in the kitchen.

• Cooking skill.

• Husks, Mudraptors, Crawlers, and Tiger Threshers can now be processed in the kitchen after professional butchering.

• Beer and Vodka.
