Описание автора

Introducing the Bittergloom, my first workshop submarine project. Built through trial and error and designed according to me and my group of friends desires and needs for our first campaign playthrough. Originally a Scout class you could play through the campaign with from the start, now a Tier 3 Attack class submarine you'll need to purchase late into the campaign.

TIER 3 ATTACK CLASS SUBMARINE:

  • Has full coverage from four standard sized gun emplacements, and has access to a Depth Charge launcher and large gun emplacement slot on the front. Has expanded ammo storage for stocking up for the long haul and is bot friendly.

RANGE OF FACILITIES:

  • Comes with a Fabricator, Deconstructor, Medical Fabricator and Genetics Lab. Also has a little space for a botany project and a battery charging station. Also includes a Black Crate, designed for storing the recovered items of deceased players until they respawn, in typical funerary fashion. Includes fire extinguishers throughout the submarine with emergency diving mask storage cabinets above them for emergencies too.

PLENTY OF STORAGE:

  • Has plenty of space for storing all kinds of things, some of which are labelled for posterity. Should be ample storage space for pretty much everything you might want to store on the submarine. Includes coloured steel containers inside some storage containers for further storage management.

DIVING BAY:

  • Has diving suits in the airlocks for ease of access during diving missions, and a main diving bay with plenty of space for things you might bring with you during a diving trip, and plenty of diving lockers to ensure any bot crew you might leave behind on the submarine will likely have access to a diving suit during emergencies.

MINERAL SCANNER:

  • Has a mineral scanner built into the Nav Terminal to quickly scan for minerals near the submarine, also has one in the Medical Bay so other players can scan for minerals below decks if they find themselves with nothing better to do, and incase the Captain is just ignoring them. Don't let him!

GOOD SIZED CARGO ROOM:

  • Comes with four shelves across the sub and a main cargo bay on top of that, ideal for transport and delivery missions. Cargo is located central in the submarine making regular deliveries of crafting materials and medical supplies quickly accessible by Engineering and Medical personnel.

MEDICAL BED:

  • A critically important feature according to the Medical Officer on my team, as it allows increased natural recovery from light wounds and saves on medical supplies and the Medical Officers sanity, apparently. Whatever, it's a bed!

SIMPLIFIED LAYOUT:

  • The layout is straight forward, one access ladder in the middle of the submarine which leads to the airlocks and exits / entrances and branches off to the other decks. Shouldn't be too confusing to navigate around in, ideal for fast response to threats and other issues.

ARTIFACT VAULTS:

  • Now mostly redundant due to the addition of Artifact Storage Cases added quite a few updates ago now, but still left in for posterity purposes and not because I'm too lazy to remove them. You can stick dangerous artifacts in here and store them safely until you need to use them, but remember they're OUTSIDE of the submarine, any Artifacts you need to recover for missions must be inside the submarine at the time of the round ending for the mission to count as a success!

Generally considered an easy submarine to work with, well suited for beginners or casual players that want to experience the game and be able to handle the crisis management sections a little easier. Lacks critical flaws or other quirks of more developed submarines and thus might not provide much of a challenge to veterans who are well versed in crisis management, however.

Wires are hidden because this was my first submarine and I didn't realise how important wires were to standard gameplay, plus I didn't even know wire cable holders existed to make wires look neat and tidy so I set them invisible for aesthetic purposes. I'm sorry, wire guys! I didn't mean to go all 1984 on you!

Somewhat inspired by the Saya A45, one of the first Workshop submarines I ever used. It was a very good submarine, especially coming from a Dugong!

You'll find the Saya A45 here, it's well worth a sub:

Thanks to my friend Cosmic for helping out with some of the trickier wiring. Check out his stuff:
