Trieste:

Berthed in the harbors of old Earth in the early years of WWII, the Trieste was commissioned as a stealthy sub-hunter and ship-killer. Later refitted as a nuclear strike submarine, she diligently patrolled the waters of the Pacific during the Cold War, poised to loose her cataclysmic arsenel if the call came in. When the first settlers filed into Europa the Trieste was refitted yet again as an ultra-modern private research sub and was shipped off to explore the alien waters.

Challenger:

Cargo shuttle designed for use on the Trieste. Intended for extended observation operations in oceanic trenches. Mechanical control arms on the fore end allow it to inspect and collect samples from ocean floor. (Flavor text; no function)
