Description

A Gunnarsson with a late-production workshop and medbay module attached to the back. This allows the sub to effectively function for long campaigns at the cost of protection and manouverability.

How to play

The Gunnarsson Heavy Gunship was first designed with a rear docking port, allowing different kinds of modules to be attached to the sub and make up for certain shortcomings. Due to the sub's high costs, only a few of these modules have been produced.

Thanks to the rear module, the MS1 variant is capable of making use of a full crafting suite, allowing it to undertake full campaigns. That said, the bulky structure effectively slows down the sub, while also adding unprotected spots: skillful crews can make use of the module's autonomous driving to manouver around the main guns.

Author's notes

If you liked the Gunnarsson but were put off by its lack of crafting facilities, this is for you. As a matter of fact, this was the initial plan when I first made the sub, but I ended up not adding the rear docking port - always kept the module, though, so when I finally decided to make it work it didn't take long.

Note that the sub makes use of the module's engine and ballast when attached.
