S-39 'Turpin' The Elite Scout of Europa

Once the "proud jewel" of the Europan Coalition due to its high tech and outstanding performance record, the S-39 "Turpin" fell out of favor by the EC only relatively recently, replaced by more rugged and cheaper ships as the Coalition has become more authoritive, wanting to maintain their domain rather than expand it. An antipiracy vessel, the Turpin boasts a high velocity that is easily complimented by an auxiliary engine, allowing it to retreat or pursue.

Summary

The Turpin is a vanilla-like sub with defining features, meant to be distinct from the vanilla experience while also adding to it. The Turpin is a Scout vessel, meant to be a good starter ship for new Captains of Europa. Once a staple of Europan Coalition Patrol and trade fleets, the S-39 Turpin has fallen out of service due to its high maintenance compared to other Submarines (like the Dugong.) Featuring a Auxiliary Engine, the Turpin can easily outrun anything it comes across. or, fulfill its old role as a pirate hunter.

• Auxiliary Engine With its Auxiliary Engine, the Turpin can easily change from pursuing to fleeing in a flash!

• And More! With a Depth Charge Launcher, good sight ranges, and easily being upgradeable, the Turpin may earn the favor of captains over other vessels if they so choose!

Note

After the Science and Deep Diver vessel of the Igor, I have decided to do the scout role next! Testing with friends has proven it to be quite good. The next ship I'd do would be a dedicated transport ship, though I'm not 100% sure on when I'll get around to it. I'm thinking of making it quite large in contrast to the Turpin or Igor, though I'll see about it. As always, do comment any problems you may see, and I'll see to fixing them!
