Description

A mod that allows for the customization of the skill penalties applied on death.

By default, Barotrauma deducts most of the gained skills on death, which can be immensely punishing for small or new crews. This mod allows for the penalties to be customized to deduct skills by a flat ammount or based on a percentage. Reapers tax stays in place.

Settings can be tweaked in config.lua. Default setting for this mod is the loss of 10% of all skills on death, respecting the minima of your role.

Lua for Barotrauma is required.

If you play in multiplayer, only the host/server needs this mod installed. Do not forget to select the Lua server executable when starting your game, otherwise this mod will do nothing.

Works for Barotrauma 1.0.8.0 Update.

Installation

• Install/Subscribe to this Mod

• Install/Subscribe to Lua For Barotrauma

• Start Barotrauma

• Hit the Mods Button to open the mod menu

• If there are updates available for Lua for Barotrauma or BarotraumaDeathskillPenaltyCustomizer, update them

• Enable Lua for Barotrauma (make sure its on the left panel)

• Enable BarotraumaDeathSkillPenaltyCustomizer (make sure its on the left panel)

• Hit Apply

• ** When Running the game or hosting a server, ALWAYS select the Lua for Barotrauma executable **
