Halcyon-Cruiser

A relic of a by-gon erea, the Halycon-Class Cruiser was a cheap and low-powered vessel, built for combat. However, they were used for several experiments. This ship being one of them now carries heavy armaments. A single MAC-RailCannon modified to fire in quick three round bursts, new guns on the back and a hardpoint under the railcannon, complementing the top and bottom guns. As well, it carries a low-capacity Droppod accessable via moonpool, and a layer of external armor for dampening impacts.

A ship designed for mid-late game Barotrauma campaigns, the Halcyon includes plenty of firepower and a (comparitively) large storage for a ship of it's class.

It's triple Ballast Tank surrounds the reactor, keeping it high and dry in emergencies, supplemented by a Ballast Bildge system which, when activated, opens all related doors and sets the pumps to full speed. It also has a 32 space cargo storage, allowing for one to accept transport missions as well. It's moonpool allows for individuals to smoothly enter and exit the ship, given that the drop pod isn't docked at the time. Speaking of, it has a small, cramped drop pod which is perfect for quick and dirty excersions out of the ship, but containing little room for energy or storage systems. Thankfully fitting in a oxygen generator to keep people topped off on missions.

It's also speedy, given it's large dual engines, with a slow mode for when you need to conserve power. And consume power it does, the large reactor and advanced systems burns through fuel rather quick, so be sure to keep plenty in storage.

At the end of the day though, it's an assault ship, and carries plenty of armaments for every occasion. Including:

• A massive RailCannon with a ton of ammo who's primary fire can be held down to build up a powerful three-round burst capable of taking down, or seriously wounding, most creatures. However, it's power hungry, and can only fire thrice before needing a recharge of it's three dedicated supercapacitors.
• Coilguns on the top and back of the ship
• a Chaingun on the bottom.
• An empty hard point on the front underneath the RailCannon.
• Two discharge coils, one on the front next to the RailCannon which has full coverage of the exposed gunnary compartment, and a second one straight underneath the helm, protecting it and Ballast Tank C from harm.
