Nautilus is a massive sub which drew heavy inspiration from the Typhon 2, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, an excellent concept image, Half-Life and the help of the Barotrauma Discord.

This sub has 40+ secrets hidden within her inky hulls as well as lockable doors, personal storage and a Clown News Network.

New secret party mode!

During the creation of this sub, my goals were twofold. My primary focus for the sub was to design it with fun in mind. To this end the sub's layout was staged in such a way to make natural interaction between the crew happen often. I also wanted the crew to have a lot of secrets to keep them occupied in their down time. The secondary goal in the sub's creation was for it to be fair. I did not set out to create an overpowered beast that will carry you easily through the game. This sub's start will be difficult, there are blind spots that your guns can't reach and a fair amount of hull to worry about. There are also many features that I considered adding but did not so as not to create too easy of a submarine.
