Beluga

Built for 3 - 7 players, the Beluga is a tier 3 scout-class submarine intended for campaigns. Despite it's relatively small size it comes with a deconstructor and fabricators, plenty of storage space for all needs and purposes, and dedicated rooms for all roles. It's intuitive layout also provides fast access to key areas through it's central access passage, with two airlocks on opposing ends of the submarine.

Notable Features

Layout Automatically closing doors ignore bodies and enemies, and its duct blocks are wired to prevent flooding upwards. In case of hull breaches, the layout is designed to contain, channel and drain the resulting water without damaging critical components, or causing the entire submarine to flood over time.

Armament and Coverage Turret sightlines cover all directions, with the exception of airlock entrances, which are both equipped with an electrical discharge coil, accessible via the navigation terminal and buttons in the gunnery. The Beluga also features a depth charge launcher and it's own dedicated storage rack.

Storage and Equipment Separate secure steel cabinets for security and the captain, a dedicated item finder in stowage, and the engineering fabricator is linked to cargo crate shelves upstairs, allowing minerals to be stored efficiently out of sight. It also has storage for two cargo crates in the bottom airlock, easing storage limits for mining- and wreck salvage-crew.

• The center of mass is aligned to the docking port, making docking more accessible.

• There are no backup power batteries. Handheld batteries can be charged using dedicated charging docks.

• The front-facing searchlight is controlled automatically by the submarine's computer.
