Описание автора
*Brand new submarines are expensive. Cost efficient people just use whatever lies on the ocean floor. This one is made of a Humpback, a Typhon and a Dugong, with just a touch of Remora. *
You are Barotrauma veteran and about to go through the release version of the game? That's by far the best way to start new campaign, but don't think this boat is just a meme, it may seem ridiculous, but it's actually a gem of gameplay.
Features:
-The captain is no longer just the driver, now that he's running 3 submarines at once, he's the mastermind of this ship. -2 Reactors running simultaneously is of course cool, but can give them enough fuel? Or would you rather shut down some modules like oxygen, auxiliary engines or even ballast to save energy? It's up to you, Captain! -Are you sure it's just an abandoned boat underneath you and not a Thalamus? Either way, blow it up with a remote-controlled nuclear mine with a scary clown face. (Or blow up your own crew D: ) -Tired of running around inside the sub? How about getting tired of swimming outside the submarine? You'll have to charge the railgun outside the ship, and every sub has an entrance outside. -Tired of operating all of the guns in one room by yourself? Well, now you'll get tired asking your crew to sit on the guns(or use bots, waypoints work fine, but it won't be as much fun to play). -Don't like the fact that your team is always throwing divingsuits on the floor and you can't find them anymore? There are plenty of divingsuit racks on the sub, so death by pressure will be less likely to annoy you. -The sub comes in two versions: for the campaign and for regular missions (variety in quantity and quality of items). -Multilingual support. Almost everything is translated by the game itself, except for the names of the submarines and the training terminal in the mine control room. -Huge potential for improvement. You can completely rework almost all the wiring, automate doors, etc. -It's not my responsibility, but the visual of this ship is just epic, but that's the first thing you notice.
Hint: grow trees, disassemble seeds, combine carbon and iron and the output will be a perpetual railgun.
What is changed relative to the original:
-Reworked the mines. They used to move very strangely. I do not like the idea that you "cock the mine" and it moves in a random direction at a speed of 30 km / h, now it listens only to the commands "gunner. Survivability: ramming is now no problem, and if the mines have sustained minor damage, they are still serviceable. Mines can now be easily reloaded, only a nuclear projectile is required. Now actually can kill live creatures.
-The Remora gun now exists. It can only be loaded from the outside.
-Electricity is now shared between Dugong and Humpback. Both power Typhon's batteries.
Dugong and Humpback both have one reactor each.
-Turned on the Fabricator and Deconstructor on the Humpback (be careful not to blow up things like sodium, as this room is considered ballast).
-The Humpback has earned an extra ballast room. Total 1200+900+900+120(?) maximum ballast capacity. You can even hook up an extra Typhon pump to the ballast system if you really want to.
-Reworked external guns. As much as I want 8+ players playing this sub, I have to be realistic, and think about 2-3 good players, and the rest is "screaming mass." Keeping that thought in mind, I made the upper Typhon turret stronger than the vanilla one, and the lower capsule has control over the railgun and Remora's laser, both lower cannons had to reloaded from the outside. I don't know how interesting this is gameplay-wise, but hopefully it will provide some unusual situations. The Dugong also has an extra cannon, though not too useful.
-Depth bomb dropping mechanism.
-External engines are no longer external.
-Navigational arrows. I hope this helps those who can read.
-Removed hard-to-reach places in the Humpback.
-You can now enter the Humpback from the middle of the ship, and navigation outside the "hull" has also been simplified.
-You can now exit the upper docking hatch at any time.
-All divingsuits cabinets generate air for free (lazy to plug them all in)
-The bot's waypoints work like clockwork
