##Submarine Description##

While the Monolith doesn’t have the medical capacity or the resource acquisition and utilization capacity for extended service away from port, it’s security mechanisms and duel-layered shell make it a rugged cargo hauler for traversing routes known to be dangerous. A captain can rest easy knowing his crew is safe within a Monolith.

##Vessel Specifications##

The Monolith is outfitted with a number of automatic safety features, reliability improvements, quality of life features, and combat-endurance-oriented design choices, including, but not limited to:

Duel layered shell, allowing significant protection against small fish, and lengthening the time it takes big fish to get inside. Near 360 degree weapons coverage, with the only blind spots being in the very cap of the vessel and very rear. The cap is the single most armored point, and the rear has the engine (which shreds any fish). In-line airlock allowing greater weapons coverage. Airlock features a "seal/permit" function, which the captain can use. Automatic reactor-room fire suppression systems, as well as an advanced warning system. Reactor can be remotely shut down via the captain's console. "Missions since last tragic accident" counter. Starts at zero and can be either ticked-up or reset. Located in engineering. Multiple outside view ports accessible via the captain's console, and automatic search lights. Complete drainage systems for every room, to prevent flooding.

##Vessel Shortcomings##

The Monolith lacks in the following areas:

Lack of centralized med-bay, with low-risk medicine being stored around the vessel and prescription medicine being in secure storage in the armory. Leads to attrition of crew health during prolonged missions. Lack of a deconstructor, fabricator, or centralized resource storage area. Leads to inability to acquire disposable resources during prolonged missions. Lack of furnished crew quarters. Leads to the inability to endure prolonged missions, can degrade crew moral if crew are required to sleep on the floor. Lack of high-output weaponry, such as the railgun, renders the ship ineffective against extremely large fish, such as Molochs, or [REDACTED].
