##Submarine Description##

The big sister of the Monolith, the Monarch is larger, faster, and better suited for extended service. It is built to face far greater threats- with more, bigger guns, an advanced reactor system, completely reworked ballast system, and an integrated medbay. Despite these improvements, some of the Monolith's security features, such as the duel-layer hull, had to be sacrificed. Veteran captains can trust in the power of a Monarch.

##Vessel Specifications##

The Monarch is designed with self-reliance, attack power, and maneuverability in mind. With much inspiration drawn from it's younger sister ship, the Monolith, the Monarch retain's automation, stability, and security. The fallowing is a list of some, but not all, features of the Monarch.

Near 360 degree weapons coverage of coilguns, for dealing with small fish, as well as a front-facing railgun, for dealing with big fish. The ventral-fore side of the vessel is equipped with a double-coil gun, for enhanced performance. Smart batteries, which charge slower the more energy they store, allowing to retain security while maintaining a smooth power-load transition. Integrated medical unit, with publicly accessible low-risk medicine storage, and secured prescription medical storage. Optimized flow mapping, draining all water into the ballast tank, for minimal energy usage and pump maintenance. A larger engine than its sister ship allows the Monarch a greater top speed and acceleration. The reworked ballast system further enhances the Monarch's maneuverability.

##Vessel Shortcomings##

The Monarch lacks in the following areas:

The duel-layer hull has been sacrificed to afford a greater maneuverability, requiring a greater emphasis on rapid repairs. The experimental energy generation and storage mechanism may prove unstable, especially under high stress. The energy-efficiency aligned ballast systems may prove vulnerable to flooding during a hull breach, due to the lack of accessibility of the furthest ballast rooms. Hardpoints have been installed along the ballast to mitigate this risk.
