Описание автора
All of my subs are being actively worked on and updated continuously, any feedback on them is greatly appreciated. The ECV is made of completely vanilla items.
"Marketed as an "Enterprising Courier Vessel", the ECV is the once-thought abandoned project to convert a Bathos hull into a deep sea explorer. The precursor ship blueprint has all but been lost, yet several aspects remain within the ECV - namely size, integrated chaingun and weak armour. Efforts to modernize resulted in reinforced drainage, advanced ballasts, smart doors and powerful batteries. The ECV is predominantly advertised for its high upgrade potential, carrying capacity and versatility."
** Tier two transport ** - 19500 marks Size: 55m by 24m (Actual hitbox: 54m by 18m) 16 crate storage 4 Turrets (two empty hardpoints & 2 integrated stock turrets) 16 km/h speed at 50 helm skill - 18/21 km/h maximum ascent-dive speed stock!
** Crew requirements **: 6 - 10 crewmembers
1152 Items, 809 structures, 161 walls, 255 lights, 31 shadow-casting lights
Features:
-
Optimized for a much smaller crew than the Berilia ( **6-10 people **)
-
A ship following the footsteps of the Berilia but more manageable to maintain (don't expect it to be easy though!)
-
A ship that's meant to stay with you after you purchase it (give it lots of love at the submarine mechanic)
-
Serious upgrade potential
-
The ship's delicate electrical machinery can be saved via intelligent use of the battery system
-
Full Fabrication/Deconstructor suite - with plenty of storage spaces
-
Sports a fancy external surveillance suite at the Captain's helm - overlooking the dorsal discharge coil and ventral prow.
-
Custom made Ballast flush system - that drains all water for the respective ballast for impromptu maintenance even during the heat of combat to clear Ballast flora!
-
**Smart door system ** that opens automatically like the Humpback but turns manual upon detecting water on either side of the door!
-
Diving speed unseen in other ships of the class (21 maximum diving speed and 18 maximum ascent speed)
-
** Completely AI compatible **
-
An attempt to make a ** balanced ** multipurpose vessel for vanilla barotrauma!
-
A vulnerable outershell that has 25% less hp than normal - Do not be mistaken by the submarine's large size, floodings will be frequent. The walls with decreased health have HAZARD tape to indicate the weaknesses.
-
Quick to repair Installations (25% faster than vanilla Junction Boxes)
Ship is balanced to be a pseudo tier 3 ship that is in fact tier 2, with cost and accessibility considered. Designed to be a tier 2 ship that can grow into a tier 3 ship with proper crew care and treatment. While versatile, the ship's first priority should NOT be combat as it's weaponry are almost entirely top focused with poor forward arcs in addition to it's poor outershell health. Furthermore the ship cannot use it's engines and simultaneously fire weaponry on reactor output alone without upgrades (hint: use the battery array). ** It is highly recommended to have a few AI crewmates when playing with this ship, as it is designed to make the most out of AI crewmates including changing their orders occasionally **
Ship comes with two integrated weapons: a flak and a chaingun with an auto revv routine pre wired. Only the flak cannon ** CAN be switched out **.
** The Chaingun will always stay as a non-swappable turret. ** To compensate the chaingun handles 2x better than a regular vanilla chaingun turret. This is mostly done for balancing reasons and balance out the fact that the ship already has higher than average firepower when fully upgraded.
Ship has 16 crate storage space. Reactor output of 5200kw (Standard Transport sub) with 30 second meltdown and 10 second fire timer. Fuel consumption of 0.300.
Ship has been repeatedly tested across two full campaigns of bot counts of 5 and 10 respectively. Every waypoint has been thoroughly adjusted. If you find any issues with bot pathing that doesn't resolve itself in under 10 seconds please tell me.
The ship is notably weak to being invaded by hostiles - and it's diving storage and airlock are far from the working areas. The ship also has poor drainage (not as bad as the Berilia) but the multiple floor levels should help buy time for fighting off invaders before the entire ship is compromised.
The ship has a semi-hidden lore logbook to allow for Roleplay sessions.
I'd like to thank the Barotrauma discord community over at Undertow games Discord, and especially Panman for extensive balance feedback, my own friends for playtesting this monster of a submarine and Psyduck for countless aesthetic advice (even if it still looks like a gigantic BRICK!). Last but not least the many public players of barotrauma for joining me in the many misadventures testing this submarine.
