Vlad's Enhanced Backpacks

The mod adds 2 new backpacks to the game

These backpacks have 3 main features:

• Small and Large item slots so you can hold any item.

• Movement gets encumbered the more your backpack is filled. Weight is scaled by the size of the item.

• A dim, low consumption, battery powered lamp that can be turned on and off. Mainly used to let you see near your character.

The large item slots are notably used to store crates, ammoboxes, railgun shells, diving suits, and other items with the "mediumitem" tag. There is one exception to the large item slots, and these are items with the "largemobilecontainer" tag such as the backpacks in this mod. The small item slots are the usual item slots similar to the toolbelt.

Backpack Descriptions

Utility Backpack: This is the general use backpack of the mod which has 9 small item slots and 3 large item slots. When fully packed with items, the backpack encumbers you with a 36% reduction in movement speed. It can only be stored in a crate shelf.

Cargo Backpack: This is the backpack you use when you want to haul numerous large items, perfect for scavenging wrecks when used with crates. It has 6 small item slots and 6 large item slots. When fully packed with items, the backpack encumbers you with a 48% reduction in movement speed. It can only be stored in a crate shelf.

Small item slots have a 2% movespeed penalty while large item slots have a 6% movespeed penalty when filled. Note that encumbrance only affects movespeed and not scooter speed. The encumbrance penalty also applies when carrying backpacks by hand, so by carrying two backpacks you severely lower your movement speed. But once you get to a 50% reduction in movement speed, all penalties thereafter are halved as to not penalize you too much.

The backpack lamp is intentionally dim as to retain the ambiance of diving in the deep. It has 4 times the battery life of a regular flashlight and can be turned on and off by moving the battery between the two battery slots. Or you could shove both slots with batteries so you have a spare. Whatever floats your boat.

Special Mod Interactions

• Neurotrauma Stasis Bag and Body Bag have been moved from the large item slot to the small item slot.

• Hungry Europans Keg has been added to the large item slot.

Mod Conflicts

There should be no mod conflicts since there were no overrides done. Load order does not matter as well.
