Laser Sentry

Ever wanted to have a sentry that doesn't consume ammo? That can be placed anywhere you want? Look no further - the Laser Sentry mod has you covered. The Sentry is a fully automatic placeable defense turret, that doesn't pack a punch, yet fires rapidly. It also does not consume any ammunition, instead relying on an overheat mechanic. The mod is compatibile with existing campaigns, and can be added at any point in the game. To obtain one, you have to craft it in the Fabricator (no perks needed) - you can't buy it directly in an Outpost. To power the Sentry, you have to place down a Condensator outside of the sub, and connect it to a Junction Box (which the mod also adds as placeable items). Alternatively, you can place down the Sentry down in your sub, yet you still need to connect it to power through a Condensator. The Sentry IS destructible, having 100 structural health. This is for balance reasons - otherwise you'd be able to spam them on your ship and shred through bosses.
