SeaDragon Class Cruiser mk5

History The Seadragon class was created by Frontier Heavy Engineering to explore the deepest parts of Europa. Contracted by the Coalition this ship was to be the main line cruiser for the Coalition but also needed to be able to explore the most dangerous of environments. As this ship was likely to be the largest vessel operating in any given area it needed to act as a mobile command ship for small fleets and a refresh center for smaller Coalition warships operating in an area where stations are few and far between. The project was overly ambitious and complicated leading to higher than expected costs. Due to the immense cost few were produced and sacrifices in the quality of the electrical systems had to be made. As the years went on newer cheaper more capable vessels would become more prominent leading to most of these ships being mothballed. However some are still in service with the Coalition, others either stolen or bought off of corrupt officers by the Separatists and others used by mercenaries where pretending to be a Coalition vessel has its perks.
