Husk Survival Gamemode

Key features:

• Automatic husk waves. The game will end only when you or hundreds of your enemies die. You don't need a GM to play, so you can play it alone.
• Killing husks gives you currency, that can be exchanged in special stores placed all over the map.
• Extremely aggressive husks that will run to you across the entire map.
• Four specially prepared, detailed locations.
• Many actually unusual guns and even working lootboxes!

Installation:

Important only for the one who hosts the server, the rest of crew simply needs to join the server

• Subscribe to this mod and "lua for barotrauma".

*(Optional, if you have old CPU: «performance fix» [Gives you higher framerate but increaces server latency] and «Remove all»[By typing Console command "light", lighting will be disabled and increase your frame rate noticably] or you can just play without any of them. With Ryzen 5500 i play without them and dont have any issues.) *

• In the game, in the "mods" tab, drag both mods from the right column to the left and apply.
• Click "Host server", in the window that appears, in the line "server executable" select "Lua for barotrauma". Press «Playing with friends?» (this will disable carma).
• Click "START" *(If you use CLIENT-side Lua, you don’t have to subscribe to "Lua for barotrauma" mod. And also you don’t have to select "server executable") *

!!!DON`T USE ENHANCED/IMPROVED HUSK!!!

First launch:

• Ideally, the host is the one with the best CPU(processor).
• Disable as many resource-intensive background applications as possible.

• (barotrauma utilizes only one core, which can already be loaded with torrents, browser, YouTube, etc. If you know how to overclock your CPU it will help very much, since temperatures will be the same, but you can get up to 30% performance increase on that single core. If you never do such thing, then dont try it!) *

• In the game settings, open "gameplay & UI" and DISABLE "Enable crossplay". I don't know if it is Russian internet being blocked by Russia, VPN, DNS or something else is to blame, but if you turn it on, at one random moment, especially closer to the late waves, the server starts to lag like hell even when there are a couple of people on the map and not a single husk.

In server window:

• Select sandbox game mode.
• 4 submarines (locations) to choose from: Gorky-17, Scrapyard, Bluz Glow and Sierra.
• Set the respawn and its time to your preferences. I recommend 2 minutes. If you are skilled enough, then go without timed respawns at all..

• By pressing F3 and typing Respawnnow you can skip timer even without enabling cheats. * -I reccomend to NOT disable friendly fire.

!Important!

If suddenly you are 100% sure that you killed all the monsters, but nothing happens(they are clipped through walls), press F3, write Enablecheats (press Enter), write killmonsters (press Enter) and then F3 again. Mutated players are also considered such enemies.

DONT USE ENHANCED / IMPROVED HUSKS. ITS NOT IMPROVING OR ENHANCING ANYTHING FOR THIS MOD.

If you want to figure out everything else by yourself, you do not need to read anything else.

Fun facts:

• If at the endgame (15+ wave) the players who join you, says that they see nothing, blame the developers of Barotrauma. These players will only be able to play when you start the round from the beginning.
• Each husk is balanced so that they are +- equal. They are chosen completely randomly.
• Most items behave the same as in the original game, but with tweaked values, for example, a scrap cannon stuns more, a rifle pierces enemies through, revolvers do not have talent do decrase dual-wielded penalty, etc. All such items have changed the description.
• All heavy weapons can be stored in any slot, all weapons that require skill no longer require it. (Except starter grenadelauncher)
• The Circus of Values is indestructible, so you can always buy a wrench to repair other machines.

Наибольшее спасибо sunglasses for refactoring entire main lua code. It made this mod much less laggy, have bosses, fixes some things like broken ammo, rewards for surviving, lootboxes and other cool things. Большое спасибо Nupaska, without him you will lag more because of all ammo mags and useless guns lies on floor and not despawning. Huge thanks to RubbingMyAxe, without him help you would be forced to type !husktoken 10 every time in the chat to get coins on release version of mod.
