SM Hercules

A specialized hauler on the smaller end of the scale with some unique features. Includes a large cargo bay with moonpool entrance, allowing easy entry and exit for the crew and cargo. Additionally, a slow-firing coilgun is installed at the roof of the cargo bay to deter sneaky foes. Also includes landing legs to reduce the effects of unplanned rapid descents. Bot friendly, but keep the bay doors closed to prevent any shenanigans.

Fair warning: This submarine drives much like its shape - a brick. It accelerates slowly, and has a single undersized ballast meaning it will struggle to descend. Its cargo bay can take a lot of water out of the other rooms via its adequate duct system to offset initial leaks, but once the bay fills it will take a long time to drain meaning you will be hurtling towards the abyss at high speeds which is typically not a great outcome.

Many experienced crews have been reported to use the moonpool in unconventional ways - from leaving it open to allow boarders to meet the internal turret, to using it to "scoop" up defeated enemies for quick looting. SM Shipyards advises against this behavior as it will void the already nonexistent warranty.
