Built by the Jupiter Resource Accord’s Subsurface Engineering Group, Talos was designed to operate deep within Europa’s subsurface ocean. Named after the mythic bronze guardian, its mission is dual-purpose: extract rare minerals and transport vital cargo through the moon’s treacherous under-ice terrain.

Talos serves as a mobile platform for deep-sea mining, cargo runs, and subglacial exploration. Crewed by three to five, it operates in complete isolation beneath kilometers of shifting ice and freezing brine.

It gained attention after a mission to the Serratus Rift, where it resurfaced alone and damaged, with its data cores wiped clean. No official explanation was given. Since then, Talos continues its runs in silence—reliable, unspoken, and watched closely by those who know what it survived.
