Dagon - T1 Scout

A combat focused upgrade to the Dugong. Trade some reliability for brutal efficiency.

The Dagon features improved frontal armor, a stronger discharge coil, a depth charge launcher and a dedicated cargo room below the armory. The top of the ship is slightly larger, allowing for more storage and a deconstructor. A larger engine has been fitted in the now longer engine room, and an auxiliary engine has been strapped below the ship in case of emergencies.

However, the power grid remains largely unchanged, and the reactor will struggle to keep up with the new upgrades. That's why manual switches have been fitted to power out the following systems:

• Secondary engine (off by default)
• Oxygen generator (saves 1000KW!)
• Ballast pumps (a switch for each pump, the ship can fully operate with a single pump if starting from neutral ballast level)
• Deconstructor (off by default)

• Heavy frontal shield
• Manual depth charge launcher
• Manual power-saving switches
• Auxiliary engine for emergencies

Cost: 6900 mk Speed: 23.3 km/h (24.5 with aux. engine) Crew: 4-6 recommended, very bot friendly. Operates just like a Dugong with higher maintenance. Turrets: 3 small hardpoints (base loadout: 2 coilguns) Other armament: 1 Depth charge launcher at the very front of the ship, 1 Discharge coil protecting the front half of the sub Docks: Top dock Airlock: 1 rear facing Airlock at the top of the ship

This ship is a workhorse of a submarine, able to take down threats the normal Dugong would usually struggle with. It does require a lot of manual work to make sure all the systems stay operational, but stays very suitable for solo campaigns. This was a lot of fun to make so I hope you'll enjoy it.
