Analog Communications

Addon dedicated to retro styles of communication

This is a project for intended for Jerry city but I feel it is useful to other servers as well!

Description: This mod add new items for communication notably phones (stationary and mobile), envelopes and notes. The purpose of these is to add more flavor to otherwise anticlimactic actions, like approving citizens with a stamped letter or calling security to a ongoing situation in town hall. In the case of mail there are guarantees that don't exist in normal gameplay such as a sealed envelope, containing information such the class whom they were sealed by, with notes can be signed by individuals.

The mail features can be used right out of the box but stationary phones require a bit of setup.

Phone additions

Phone stand:

• Preselected number that's set to the receiver

• Rings when called on it's number and a receiver is present

• Clicking will automatically give you its receiver

Receiver (Handset in game):

• Selectable field for number (phones on that number will hear you)

• Calling will ring phones on the selected number

• Plays sound on other receivers when someone picks up/hangs up

• Will return to its stand if moved more then 5 meters away

Cell Phone:

• Basically a combo of receiver and stand, but mobile and requires a battery

• Has number randomly selected (this will not appear on phone books)

Phone Book:

• Displays all public phone stands' information

Mail additions

Envelope features:

• Comes with two spaces, one for a small item and another for a note (Spawns with it)

• Sealing: The items inside become hidden and the envelope will become the color of your job role (Can only be done once so be careful!)

• Opening: Similar to sealing, the items can now be retrieved (Also a permanent action)

• When equipping a sealed envelope it will tell you the job of the person who sealed it

• Can be crafted/deconstructed with/for one carbon

Note features:

• Writable message

• Signing: The note will become read only and when equipped it will tell you who signed it

• Can be crumpled into a ball that can be thrown then uncrumpled later

• Destroy button for easy cleanup
