BTR-80 Armored Personnel Carrier（Russian:Бронетранспортер БТР-80）The BTR-80 armored personnel carrier is a 4-axle, 8-wheel drive armored vehicle developed by the Soviet Union in the 1980s, improved from the BTR-70 armored personnel carrier.
The overall layout of the BTR-80 is similar to that of the BTR-70. The cockpit is located at the front, with the driver on the left and the commander on the right, and is equipped with instruments, panels, controls, a radio, and an internal communication device for day and night observation and driving.

In the early 1980s, after factory and national testing, the Soviet army began equipping itself with BTR-80 armored personnel carriers. The first batch of BTR-80 armored personnel carriers rolled off the production line on February 24, 1984.

The BTR-80A is a weapons upgrade version of the BTR-80, equipped with a BPPU turret replacing the original small turret. The turret's appearance is similar to the turret design of West German Marder infantry fighting vehicles, and the complete separation of the weapon from the crew compartment greatly improves crew comfort. Without smoke, the gunner is no longer disturbed by the noise of the gun, which is beneficial for his performance in battle.
