MK2 Offers better weapons and overall increased storage and better general capabilities than the standard Dugong

MK3 Offers front mounted automatic chaingun defense system, turret hardpoint moved to underside for a total of 2 guns available. The MK3 has much better survivability versus the outgoing models due to the reworked diving suit positons that ensure all crew have easy dive suit access. Though the MK3 comes with a greater upfront cost.

The Ship's hull has been extended. Now features a fabricator, deconstructer and a medical lab. Weapons have also been added to the top of the ship in the form of a default flak cannon and addition hard point for configuration.

Originally commissioned as a standard Dugong-class transport submarine, Due to conflict arising and the need for a quantity of armed submarines the Dugong has since been pressed into the service by the coalition navy and heavily refitted into a compact naval support vessel built for frontline combat. Its expanded hull houses a dedicated fabrication workshop and a fully equipped medical bay, allowing the crew to sustain long-term patrols without relying on Coalition stations. Though still recognizable as a Dugong at its core, layers of reinforced plating, improvised wiring, and upgraded internal systems help reflect it's new role.

The submarine’s weapon systems have been extensively upgraded beyond civilian standards, transforming the once modest vessel into a capable combat platform able to repel hostile fauna and pirate threats alike. Additional hardpoints and improved ammunition storage give the crew the firepower needed to survive Europa’s deeper routes, while redesigned compartments improve crew efficiency during emergencies and combat breaches.
