Описание автора
A submarine mostly made for friends. It's my first project with the editor so some aspects may be a bit rough around the edges. Overall though I think it turned out good.
I made a tier 3 upgrade/variation of this sub. Check it out here:

Note:
Images are from an early version of the sub, very minor changes have happened since then.
About submarine:
Name: K-112 Tadpole Class: Scout Tier: 2 Price: 16000mk Recommended crew size: 4 - 8 In-game description:
"The K-112 is a fast scout submarine, most commonly known by Europa's residents as the "Tadpole" due to its tail. Made a relic of an age long since past, the Tadpole was originally designed using old Earth blueprints from as far back as the 1940's. In the current age it's been retrofitted with modern systems, yet still suffers from a design not fitted for Europa. Despite it's venerable underbelly the K-112 still sees use among crews who value pure speed and top-side firepower."
Features:
-High horizontal top speed and fast decent rate, slow ascent rate.
-High power main engine reaching speeds of up to 30kmph, however it's located in a large room that if flooded will pose a threat to its usefulness. Low condition alarms are placed next the engine and in the command room. The main engine cannot be used when the submarine is on battery power, only the auxiliary engine (slow).
-Auxiliary engine that can increase top speed when on at the cost of slightly more power use. When using battery power, it will be able to provide limited mobility.
-Sectioned off reactor accessed by airlock. The reactor can be flooded in case of a fire using the valve next to it's entry. Reactor maintenance alarms and shut off switches are present next to it's entry and in the command room.
-Labelled junction boxes that supply power to different systems. Different systems can be enabled/disabled via the command room in order to conserve power if needed.
-Backup battery systems that will run for several minutes when the reactor is down. Batteries will automatically engage if the reactor output drops below 500. Alternatively, the batteries can be manually injected into the power grid via the command room, this effectively serves to prevent power flickers while possibly causing damage to the batteries.
-All crafting stations are present, including the deconstructor, fabricator, medical synthesiser and research table. These are linked to their respective containers.
-A large storage compartment and plentiful supply cabinets are present for all your crew's hording needs! In total there is around 28 places for boxes in the dedicated storage room.
-7 diving suit lockers spread throughout the submarine.
-Status terminals are present in the electrical, engine and command rooms for ease of maintenance.
-The airlock in the fin may seem strange to be flooded by default but I assure you it's for a good reason. This windowed area is based off a room of the same type on real world submarines. The "conning tower" is intended to be used as a sheltered area used in surface navigation to protect the crew from arctic weather whilst they assist in navigation. When submerged this room is typically flooded to prevent damage to the glass windows which cannot withstand deep water pressure. Although pressure has no impact on glass hulls whatsoever in Barotrauma. Even so, I though it would be interesting to add this feature. You can still drain the water from the conning tower via the button in the airlock. Red light means its completely filled with water, flashing red means its between full and empty, and green is dry. The hatch will automatically open if nobody is near it, flooding the room.
-Firepower is very much directional on the K-112 necessitating good communication between captain and gunners. Weapons have a fierce bite on the submarine's top side, however they leave its underbelly venerable to an undefended attack. When faced with an un-advantageous encounter the captain may choose to utilise sheer speed and a little depth charge distraction to simply avoid confrontation outright. Weapons present (in order) consist of:
-
flak cannon (top left).
-
railgun (top left).
-
small turret hardpoint (top).
-
chain gun (top right).
-
depth charge launcher (underbelly).
-An ammunition compartment is present that houses ammo storage, weapon magazines and the weapon supercapacitor. Only one supercapacitor is present with a relatively limited charge favouring quick kills and punishing drawn out engagements.
-The command room houses:
-
sonar.
-
navigation.
-
status terminals.
-
security cameras.
-
power diversion.
-
ship wide alarm systems.
-
battery control.
-
reactor shutdown.
-
engine and reactor status alarms.
-
self-destruct command (type "Let's blow this popsicle stand boys." then "Yes, Rico. Kaboom." in the terminal to activate).
-
auxiliary engine control.
-
armoury (wall safe).
-
bunk beds.
-
depth charge launch control.
-
and periscopes for weapons systems.
-Medbay containing everything a competent medic needs.
-Captain's quarters usually containing an unhealthy amount of rum. A small button controls the brig door.
-Brig, controlled by the button in the captain's quarters.
-High hull armour values on the K-112's underbelly with considerably lower values on it's top, especially on the conning tower. Walls surrounding the command room have higher armour values than other interior areas. The hull where the propellers intersect is relatively unarmoured.
Please leave a rating, good or bad. It let's me know how the sub performs with other people. Comment any issues you find and maybe check out my other subs too:
