The SK-1577 SENTINEL is built upon an ancient submarine design, its original schematics carried to Europa by the moon’s first settlers. Though its foundations date back to Earth’s cold war, the Sentinel is no longer the vessel it once was. Over generations, Europa Naval Works has extensively modernized the platform, adapting the over 200-year-old design to survive the demands of the new frontier.

Selected for its rugged simplicity and ease of maintenance compared to more advanced contemporary craft, the SK-1577 proved an ideal candidate for refit and continued service. What was once considered a state-of-the-art military submarine has since been reborn as a dependable exploration and research vessel, intended to support operations beneath Europa’s ice for decades to come.

The tier 3 variant is generally the same but is equipped with an additional large weapon hardpoint instead of the small, has better power capacity, higher engine thrust, slightly higher pump speed and 1 HE torpedo mounted on the top that can be fired from the command terminal.

SK-1577SET Variant: COST : 17,000 MK TIER 2 : Transport

This is the private civilian transport and research variant. This variant has no large weapons and has had 1 gun removed in favor of more cargo capacity. A research table takes the place of the secondary storage room. It also has higher engine thrust and pump speed. The command terminal also features more information on the sub's location and condition.
