Описание автора
Bedside Health UI Fix
Bedside Health UI Fix is a standalone client-side addon that fixes Barotrauma’s awkward health UI behavior when treating characters who are lying on beds, hospital beds, or surgical tables.
Normally, Barotrauma does not always treat a character on a bed or table the same way it treats a prone character on the ground. This can make the health UI difficult or impossible to use properly, cause HUD overlap, or prevent the medic from seeing the patient’s hotbar while treating them.
This addon fixes that behavior and makes bedside treatment feel much smoother.
What This Mod Does
Bedside Health UI Fix improves the way the health UI works when interacting with characters on beds, hospital beds, and surgical tables.
Features include:
-
Allows the patient’s health UI to stay open while they are lying on a bed or table
-
Fixes HUD overlap while treating a patient at bedside
-
Repositions the medic’s hotbar and health HUD so they do not cover the treatment UI
-
Displays the patient’s hotbar above the medic’s hotbar while treating them
-
Allows left-clicking outside the health UI to close the menu
-
Allows right-clicking outside the health UI to close the menu
-
Closes the bedside health UI when opening another UI, such as a cabinet or container
-
Pressing G while treating a bed/table patient will make them stand up or eject from the bed/table
-
Standalone addon — does not require Neurotrauma or Neurotrauma Neo
IMPORTANT
Do not load multiple versions of this fix at the same time.
If you are using a version of Neurotrauma Neo that already includes the Bedside Health UI Fix, do not also enable this standalone addon.
Running both at the same time may cause duplicated UI behavior, overlapping hotbars, broken HUD positioning, or other strange bugs.
Use either:
-
The standalone Bedside Health UI Fix
-
or a mod that already includes this fix
Not both.
Why This Exists
Beds, hospital beds, and surgical tables are useful for medical roleplay and treatment, but the vanilla interaction behavior can make them frustrating to use during actual emergencies.
This mod was made to make bedside treatment work more like treating someone who is lying on the ground, while also cleaning up the HUD so the medic can actually see what they are doing.
Compatibility
It should be compatible with most mods unless they also heavily modify the health UI, hotbar layout, character HUD, or bed/table interaction behavior. Make sure this is put after Neurotrauma in the load order.
A known issue is that you cannot press H on yourself if you're on this table. In which case, you are probably the medic, and your entire crew who doesn't want to learn the Neurotrauma system is already screwed.
This mod is meant to make medical treatment on beds and surgical tables less annoying, less buggy, and more usable during actual gameplay.
Treat your patients. Drag them off the table if needed. Try not to die.
