NT Hematology – Blood Addon for Neurotrauma

NT Hematology adds a deeper blood and circulatory system to Neurotrauma.

Red blood cells, platelets, coagulation factors, fibrinogen, and other blood components each play distinct roles. They respond differently when faced with severe trauma.

🩸 Core Systems

NT Hematology introduces a variety of blood‑related parameters, including:

• Hemoglobin (Hb)
• Red Blood Cells
• Platelets
• Coagulation Factors
• Fibrinogen
• Lactate
• Blood Volume and Tissue Perfusion
• Electrolytes such as Potassium and Calcium

These parameters interact with each other and collectively determine the patient's condition.

🩸 Coagulation System

Bleeding and coagulation are no longer independent systems.

Continuous blood loss may impair coagulation, and severe coagulopathy can in turn worsen bleeding.

But at the same time, coagulation can also treat bleeding.

The mod includes:

• Coagulation Factors
• Fibrinogen
• Platelets
• Dilutional Coagulopathy
• Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation (DIC)
• Thrombosis and Pulmonary Embolism
• Heparin, Protamine, and anticoagulation‑related mechanisms

🫁 Oxygenation, Acid‑Base Balance, and Organ Perfusion

NT Hematology further expands:

• Oxygenation
• Oxygen Delivery
• Acidosis
• Alkalosis
• Lactate
• Organ Perfusion

If hemoglobin is too low, even drugs like liquid oxygen ore cannot relieve hypoxia.
If blood pressure is inadequate, organs won't be perfused even if all blood components are normal – leading to organ damage.
