Описание автора
Cheek Enterprises' largest vessel, can act as both a mobile base of operations and a massive flagship. The Crown, while old, is a state of the art ship, that sees constant repair and refurbishment, to ensure it stays the gold standard for bulk and luxury transport. It is among one of the most heavily armed ships in the Europan ocean, as it has FOUR heavy weapons, two light weapons, and several tiny autoturrets which provide solid defense. The sub has many features which require more deliberation.
The Crown is a huge, and complicated sub, but experienced crews will find it's gameplay a breath of fresh air compared to normal gameplay... Hopefully... heh...
The Crown is segmented into two parts, or modules, with semi-independent power supplies. Module B is supplied by Module A's reactor, and Module B stores its power in a battery bank, which is fed by a 'power pump' on Module A. Why is this the case? Well, there are many reasons the sub was built like this. Firstly, having the two halves be separately powered means that if one side of the sub is completely destroyed, the other side is literally just fine (found to be the case sometimes in playtesting), which acts as a nice safety net when crap hits the fan. Secondly, having independent power means if one side of the ship is heavily effect b y EMP the other remains intact Thirdly, it's a cool and unique quirk... lol. :P
The Crown also has a large array of Autonomous Defense turrets both within and without the hull, giving it very substantial protection in every direction. The Auto-Turrets can be toggled and resupplied from a terminal on Module B.
This sub is stupidly huge and really just overcomplicated, but my goal here was to make something truly unique, not "just another sub", and i think, even if no-one else likes it, i've achieved that. :D
The many quirks and flaws of this sub, are what, in my opinion, make it so much fun to play!!! the fact that all heck can be breaking loose on Module B whilst i chill and sip on some rum in the captain's lounge on Module A is both awesome and hilarious.
And, do NOT expect beginner friendly gameplay, or a simple/laid-back experience, but, do expect the awesome feeling of piloting a sub the size of a large building through the most hostile ocean in the solar system. :)
IMPORTANT NOTES The Power Pump is a hungry son of a gun, and great care must be taken to ensure that Module B doesn't just flat out run out of power. The Automatic-Control on the reactor should be turned OFF The entrance to the shuttle is also the ballast tank for the shuttle, so if you see it filling with water that is normal. This was done for sake of compactness, and I also just really wanted the drone to fit in that little area and i had to compromise somewhere, sadly. This sub is old, and therefore it has had many crews before yours. They've all left their mark on the ship, and maybe even some of their stuff, so, in other words, keep your eyes out for any goodies/secrets scattered about the sub... Whether it be as simple as a loose vent or a complex series of clues that lead you to a stash of loot... :) Also, be warned, that playing this sub solo sucks... and i've only managed to beat a hellish mission ONCE on it by myself, and it was probably just luck, or maybe i just suck... LOL, so... idk bro, go get some friends... or something... :P
