LaW 03 : The Secret Lab

The * Laser and Water * story (LaW) is part of a PORTALF-LIFE adventure ! These maps have to be played in the right sequence, starting with LaW 00. Following Ratman's track you keep searching for the Main Gates in order to stop the water and get out of the flooded plant.

These are the steps to complete this adventure:

** - In the elevator room : **

1. Unblock the course of the laser
2. Use a barrel to reach the grate and activate the laser receiver via the moving cubes. (easy)
3. Find a way to start the exit funnel via the laser. (medium)
4. Enter the maintenance area behind the waterfall. (easy)

** - In the maintenance zone : **

1. Find the crank and enter the control room. (medium)
2. Open the ceiling glass window to enable the laser inside. (medium)
3. Use the wheel to enter the back room and discover the secret lab. (easy)

** - In the lab : **

1. Activate the laser receiver. (easy)
2. Solve the 3 steps experiment. (easy)
3. Get back in the back room and solve the 2 laser mechanism to activate the wheel. (tricky)

** - Back in the control room : **

1. Manage to activate the lift to access the exit door. (medium)
2. Change the direction of the funnel to exit. (easy)

Additionally, 1 secret, 6 bonus and 2 red minicubes are to be found to get the "Fame Board" code.

** Excerpt from the storyboard **

... Doug Ratman was thinking hard : "Well, I'm back in the flooded elevator room. Since the regular exit was condemned from the start, I need to find an alternate way to get out. Obviously the solution is the vertical funnel; but how to reach it and change the polarity? ... Probably via the maintenance zone..." ... This forgotten zone was also linked to a secret lab, he remembered. In the past, he had conducted several strange experiments there; trying to re-create ersatz of life-form from biogenic carbo-silica molecular sequences. "I can find some material there, and use it to reach the funnel. Ok this is my best option. The hope of escaping is rising again..."
