Quite some time ago, I made Wheatley Battle Redux, to make up for the pitiful map of mine that is Wheatley's Core. Now, comes Wheatley Battle Redux 2.0, where everything has been improved...

If you follow my workshop, you may remember Wheatley Battle Redux. It was a mix of the final battle from Portal 2's main single-player campaign mixed with 12 Angry Tests(by CaretCaret)' boss battle, also minus one portal gun. Since posting that, I've seen a few negative reviews of the aesthetics, and I myself had even wanted to fix up the map. So, comes this. As well, this is my first execution of Act 4-styled maps; that's Wheatley Labs for all you non-mappers out there. A full aesthetic revamp, even with added level before the boss battle itself.

Due to complications with the files, the last part of the map has been segmented into its own workshop post, linked at the top of the description. Be sure to play Part 1 first!

< < < NOTICE > > > The first part may possibly lag a tad, as I did all I could to try and optimize it within my sanity. Which is to say, not much. Under the circumstances it stands within. It's got built cubemaps though, so I've got that going for me.

============== WALKTHROUGH:

• Step forward out of the elevator into the hallway beyond
• Witness your portal gun being taken from you in a volatile manner
• Pick up PotatOS and proceed through the door when Wheatley finishes ranting
• In the next room, wait until Wheatley finishes carting in a test and board the faith plate
• Walk through the open portals and hop into the excursion funnel
• Ride it until it drops you onto a platform
• As the platform approaches a spinny-blade-wall, hop on the faith plate to the left and the next after it
• Head through the path on the right and dodge the Turrets using the pillars
• Weave between catwalks on the conveyor belts, avoiding the death grids
• Head up to and enter the control rooms
• Enter the doors on the right in the control rooms twice to reach a vertical security door
• Press the two buttons to unlock the door
