Escort your faithful Companion Cube through a series of trials and see it safely to the exit, and its gratitude will be immeasurable. Or is it escorting you? Only one thing's for certain: you will need each other to reach your goal and open the exit door.

It's very possible to lose your Companion Cube in this level. In fact, it's very likely it will happen a few times until you learn the chamber's secrets. Fret not. Your Companion Cube understands that no one is perfect, and a new one will be delivered to you in the entry room at the press of a button. Keep an eye out for shortcuts back to the entryway that will open up as you progress, allowing you to skip some of the trials you have already passed.

Revision 2:

• Fixed a bug that allowed a player to get trapped with no cube if they took a certain side corridor before flipping the switch in the room after the second button.
• Altered the switch in the first room so that it now respawns the cube if you lost yours. You monster. Revision 3:
• Added a laser barrier to the place where the cube first emerges to train test subjects (who don't already know) that the cube can safely pass through those barriers. Revision 4:
• Added another laser barrier to the place where the cube rises on the tractor beam to prevent a player from getting trapped by using the cube to reverse polarity and suck themselves down into the cube cage. A player has no reason to ever need to go there, and the glowing red barrier of death should make that really clear--and reinforce the point if necessary. ;)
