This map has a long history behind it. It was originally created in 2021 by pracc and boreurs as a GunGame map for Counter-Strike: Source.

Magic8Ball saw the map recently posted on the Steam Workshop in 2022 and thought it would make a great AWP map for his popular gloveworks AWP servers. He thought the map name could be a bit more memorable for his community so he renamed the map to awp_doodlebop.

The map, now named awp_doodlebop was a smash hit inside the gloveworks AWP servers. It quickly became one of the most popular maps in the server. Players loved the fast paced style with fun elements of flyting across the map using the ramps on the top platform.

When CS2 was released, Magic8Ball ported the map from CS:GO to CS2 using the new Source 2 engine. 6 month passed and I decided to take it upon myself to remaster the map.

I used my specialized skillsets to upscale the textures and refinished them using PBR techniques to bring the paper textures to the mapping standards of 2024.

The map is now looking better than ever and continues to be a beloved map of the AWPing community!

Since the first release I've since remade all the textures from scratch to improve the look of the map even more!
