Palermo is a classic defuse style map build for 5v5 play, taking place amidst the coastlines, city streets, and scenic cathedrals of Palermo, Sicily. Terrorists intend to disrupt this bustling area by detonating large amounts of explosives near its historic Catedrale di Palermo. The primary payload has been set, only needing to be catalyzed by a single brick of C4. Counterterrorists have infiltrated the area to put a stop to their scheme.

Palermo features fast-paced, rush-oriented gameplay, suitable for casual matches among friends, however has potentially deep underlying strategy via a multitude of flanking options and splits. Quick and clever attacks from T Side will help keep the game in their favor, however CT's are given the opportunity for high risk high reward pushes of their own and potentially powerful rotates, meaning agression at the right place at the right time can turn the tide of the entire match in their favor. The result is a volatile battle for map control where every inch of space counts and every alleyway could decide the round, not just who controls the bombsite.
