easy_anno is a tool designed to make creating and saving map guide annotations less of a hassle. Written in Counter-Strike 2's new JavaScript-based API, easy_anno provides a set of custom chat commands which simplify the process of creating annotations, automating repetitive tasks by taking advantage of game event hooks and managing internal state.

Create annotations with ease

easy_anno can automatically annotate the last grenade you threw, or be primed to annotate the next grenade you throw. It auto-detects the type of grenade thrown to simplify command usage, and allows you to preview the grenade's landing destination.

Commands:

• /autoadd (/a): Automatically annotates the last grenade you threw.

• Note: /autoadd only works for standing throws or jump-throws (for moving throws, use /ant or /alt)

• /addnextthrow (/ant): Annotates next grenade you throw, but using position where command was typed.

• /addlastthrow (/alt): Annotates last grenade thrown, but using position where command is typed.

Persistent storage

Use the /save command to save your annotations. Next time you start easy_anno they'll be automatically-loaded, even after restarting your game or shutting down your PC.

If you're a mapper, easy_anno helps you import and export annotation packs using the /saveas and /load commands.

Other handy features

• Spawnpoint setters to help you document all your instant smokes
• /cleanup, /cu for short, removes all active grenade entities (e.g. bloomed smokes and burning molotovs)

Known bugs

After respawning (e.g. with /restart command), if there were unsaved changes, this will cause annotation elements to not render properly (spot, landing circle, and standing circle will be missing).

• To my knowledge this is just a bug with how annotations are rendered. Only fix I know is to /save or /discard unsaved changes, then use /reload.
