Beta Patch 6

This weeks patch features 2 new spell mechanics, and 5 new spells.

Added Channeled Spells. Channeled spells can be repeatably cast by passing (pressing numpad 5).

New Spell: Plague of Filth. Plague of Filth is a channeled conjuration spell which summons fly swarms and toads. It doesn't deal much damage but its useful if you want to clog the level up with filth.

Meteor Shower is now a channeled spell, with each turn doing much less than before. It can be channeled for up to 5 turns. Damage 16->14 Num targets 20->7 Max changes 2->1 Num target upgrade 15 for 3 -> 3 for 4 Added rock size upgrade, which increases radius of the physical damage and stun (1 for 2) Added max channel upgrade, 5 for 2. Radius upgrades now upgrade the size of the meteor explosions instead of the aoe the meteors fall within.

Lightning Bolt can be upgrade into a channeled spell.

Call Spirits All upgrade costs reduced by 1

Multicast max charges 1->2 level 7->6

Fae Court Added Summon Queen upgrade for 6xp- makes fae court summon a fae queen in addition to the normal fae. Fixed bug where summoned faeries could not fly.

Heavenly Idol No longer heals players

Fixed a bug that prevented conjure memories from working on spells with upgraded max charges, and fixed the charges regained upgrade (it didn't do anything previously)

Added Orbs. Orbs are like what void star was, but they are units instead of clouds. Making them clouds was super weird and led to confusing questions like "what happens when a spider tries to make a web over a void star". Orbs units have no ai and will always try to move towards their target. If blocked by walls they will simply hover, if blocked by a unit they will swap with it. Orbs are immune to most damage types and cannot be buffed or debuffed. Mousing over an orb will show its (current) destination.

Void Star is an orb now. Added Searing Orb- Scorches all in LOS of the moving orb for low fire damage. Explodes upon reaching its target for higher fire damage. Vulnerable to ice. Added Glass Orb- Glassifies enemies near the orb each turn. Explodes upon reaching its target for medium physical damage. Can be upgraded to shield allies, and to emit large glassification/shield pulses when retargeted. Vulnerable to physical damage, be careful of kobolds. Added Ball Lightning- Emits lightning bolts to a few random enemies in LOS each turn. Creates a nova upon reaching target. Can be upgraded to emit a magnetic pulse when retargeted, dealing damage to constructs and lightning creatures. Vulnerable to other lightning. Added Orb control- a spell that retargets and refreshes duration on your active orbs. Added Orb Lord- a lord skill for orb spells.

Arcane combustion tags AS -> A Arcane combustion no longer makes floors over chasms.

Shielded Minions gives 3 shields instead of 1 to arcane minions.

Ghostfire tags FD -> FDC Ghostfire level 7->5

Reverted distance formula to euclidean from taxicab.

Enemy AI: Enemies will no longer walk towards temporary summons. They might still shoot at them though.

Enveloping Shrine now gives radius to any spell, not just fire or dark

Wyrms are now living. Aelves are now lightning creatures. Fae Arcanists have 50% resist arcane. Living Scrolls are now constructs. Several non lair monsters with the lair buff no longer have physical resist. -1 cooldown to Mordred's interposition and tango spells. Mordred's Interposition generates more monsters.

Fixed worm spit graphical glitch where the launched worms looked bigger than they truly were.

Petrify no longer stacks duration Fixed and Petrify icons Fixed a rare crash involving Word of Chaos Fixed a rare crash involving The Dreamer Sped up ally turn taking times slightly (they no longer wait for heal and damage effects before moving). Fixed some bugs involving mouseover highlighting and flickering in the shop
