Devblog - GEx 1 year anniversary! - 07/16/2022

Hello again Exorcists! We're here once again with a DevBlog - but as you could probably tell by the thumbnail, this one is a bit special...

It's the GEx 1 year anniversary!

We're so happy to look back on the progress we've made with the game (with so much more on the way)! To those of you who have been here since the beginning... remember this?

We are so excited to be able to continue developing this game with such a welcoming community! We have been hard at work with the re-code overhaul, and for now we have a few more work-in-progress images to show you some of the new design elements of the UI and Encyclopedia.

We have so much more coming in the August beta update, but we cannot share all the little details with you just yet. Here is a generalized list of what you can expect to be included in the August beta:

• New items

• An interactive tutorial

• New 'effects'

• Better performance

• An overhauled multiplayer system

• A new ghost type

• A new map

• The mighty Encyclopedia

• An overhauled level/progression system

• Huge long-standing bugs fixed

• Some new equipment models and effects.

We'd love to share more videos and images of some of these things with you, and we will, when the update gets just a bit closer. The planned beta release for this update is still in August.

Oh, and we haven't even mentioned the absolutely huge plan we have to introduce some really fun and interesting mechanics after this build is in beta for a while. We can reveal more about these specific plans when we get closer to Halloween!
