Festivity

Festivity is a PvPvE event in which a team of five players must defend their Relic from waves of mutants and zombies, fight bosses, and face off against another team. Everyone starts the match with no gear and levels up as they go, buying and upgrading equipment along the way.

The event is available to players who have reached Bar reputation level 2.

1 / 1 · 100%

How to play?

The team's main objective is to defend the Relic, which stands in the center of the PvE Arena.

A match is divided into rounds that play out in the following order:

  • 3 PvE rounds, in which you fight waves of mutants and zombies. The maximum damage your Relic can take during one round is 15%.

  • A boss round. Every boss has unique abilities, so stay alert!

  • A PvP round, in which you face the opposing team. The team that deals more damage to the Altar, the structure in the center of the map, wins. The losing side's Relic takes 10% damage.

1 / 1 · 100%

An important feature of the PvP arena is bioinfection on the lower floor of the location. Only players in Scientist armor can stay in areas with level 4 bioinfection. Players in Combo armor can only stay in areas with level 2 and 3 bioinfection. Everyone else will have to attack the Altar from the upper position.

The maximum number of rounds in a match is 25.

From round 6 onward, modifiers are active in the match. They change every round and make your life harder. From round 11 onward, two modifiers are active at the same time.

1 / 1 · 100%

The match ends if:

  • One team's Relic is completely destroyed;

  • The players reach round 25. In that case, the team whose Relic has more durability remaining wins;

  • One of the teams surrenders. Surrender button becomes available after round 15. Activating it starts a vote. If all team members agree, the team is defeated. The button can be found in the bottom left corner when you open the match statistics with ~ key.

Shop and gear

All players start the match with a knife, a pistol, and 100 coins. This currency is called Yav. It's used in the shop to buy armor, weapons, and Amulets, as well as to upgrade and refresh the shop.

Yav is earned by completing rounds. The amount you receive depends on several factors:

  • In a regular PvE round: how much Relic durability was lost;

  • In a boss round and in a PvP round: whether you win or lose;

  • How many coins you have from the previous round.

The more Yav you have before the next round starts, the more bonus coins you'll get. For every 10 coins in hand at the end of a round, you receive +1 coin, up to a maximum of 30 coins. You can see the bonus coin details by hovering over the Yav icon in your inventory.

1 / 1 · 100%

Before each round, you get time to prepare and shop. The shop is built into your inventory. You can open it with the E key.

1 / 1 · 100%

Several armor and weapon branches are available. Each armor type has its own characteristics:

  • Combat armor is great for holding back enemy attacks, but prevents you from going down to the lower level of the PvP arena. It uses fragmentation grenades.

  • Combo armor can withstand level 2 and 3 bioinfection (at higher armor ranks) in parts of the lower level of the PvP arena. It uses healing grenades.

  • Scientist armor allows you to go down to the Altar and survive level 4 bioinfection. It also uses a shield grenade that blocks bullets.

Gear upgrade

To assemble higher rank gear, you need to purchase three of its blueprints.

Blueprints matching your current gear are highlighted in the shop.

1 / 1 · 100%

All items in the shop are limited in quantity and are drawn from a shared pool. If you purchase one of the blueprints, it disappears from the shared pool. If you later sell it, it becomes available to everyone again.

Gear blueprints can also be used to upgrade armor or weapons to +5 and +10. To do this, purchase the required blueprint, then press Shift + LMB or drag it from your inventory into the equipment window.

After purchasing the third blueprint, the gear will automatically upgrade to the next rank.

Keep in mind that gear can only be upgraded in the correct order — from Picklock or Newbie to Master. You cannot upgrade Newbie armor or weapons straight to Master rank, skipping the Stalker and Veteran ranks!

  • The maximum available rank for armor and primary weapons is Master.

  • The maximum available rank for secondary weapons is Legendary.

If there is no items you need in the shop, you can refresh it for 10 Yav.

If the item you need appears in the shop but you can’t afford it yet, lock the shop by clicking the lock icon in the upper-right corner. In this case, the current set of items will be saved and carried over to the next round.

Shop upgrade

Yav can be spent not only on gear, but also on increasing the shop’s level. The higher its level, the higher the chance of finding higher-rank gear blueprints and the more Amulets you can equip.

Amulets

Amulets — are artifacts with special stats that can be purchased in the shop.

Each Amulets belongs to one of the following sets: Skitter, Fiend, Ghoul, Rat, or Multiset.

A set consists of three different artifacts and provides additional bonuses.

You can learn more about each set’s effects in the dedicated inventory tabs.

In the Epiphany and Deliverance leagues, points are deducted for a loss. Rewards for reaching these leagues are only issued after the event ends.

Only 10% of players who reach league 5 will enter the Epiphany league, while the Deliverance league will include limited number of players with the highest number of points:

  • EU — 90,

  • NA — 15,

  • SEA — 10,

  • NEA — 10.

A case containing personal styles from previous Arenas is one of the rewards in the Epiphany and Deliverance leagues.

The reward in the case can be rerolled up to 8 times. Each reroll costs 5 million rubles. Duplicate items will not drop, so you are guaranteed to receive any style you want.

Tokens

1 / 1 · 100%

Double progression tokens will let you climb the leagues faster. They can be purchased in the shop or obtained from Implements event case.

However, use them wisely in the Epiphany and Deliverance leagues: alongside the potential reward, the risk of losing more points also increases!

You can use up to 3 tokens per match. Depending on how many you use, the following multiplier is applied to the points you earn:

  • 1 token: ×2;

  • 2 tokens: ×2.6;

  • 3 tokens: ×3

In the Festivity event, tokens will only be active during the event and will be converted into Trade coins once it ends. This will help maintain fair competition and balance in each mode.

New season quests

tulpa! season quests

This fall, the Zone faced a primal horror for the first time. Each faction follows its own path in the hope of defeating it: some seek salvation in science, while others seek it in rituals. Fire and Ash, Save and Protect, Two Thousand Yards, and **Deus Ex Machina **quests explore just how far people are willing to go to avoid being left alone with their own fears.

Economic adjustments

Randomization of rewards for completing events

We previously announced that we would be updating the randomization system for the final rewards earned from completing events.

The current system is outdated and sometimes results in situations where you receive an unreasonably small reward for a complex event. After the update, you will always receive 100% of the base reward, and there’s a chance you’ll receive an increased reward.

Comparison of rewards

It is important to note that this comparison shows the minimum rewards that can be earned using the different randomization systems (the old and the new).

If you look at the long-term farm, you'll notice that the income you earn, if it has increased at all, has only increased slightly.

The main goal of the updated system is to address the issue of unfair rewards.

For example, when:

  • For a complex and large event, you were paid unreasonably little;

  • For an easy event, you received an unreasonably large amount.

Achievement Showcase

The right-hand column in the profile is changed and is now called Achievement Showcase. All settings for pinned statistics and achievements are now located in the profile customization section, in a new tab between the profile card and music.

Within Statistics and Achievements, the only features remaining are viewing and managing privacy settings for other players. The settings for the showcase itself are now flexible: you can customize each row individually and rearrange them in any order.

Added the ability to pin items in the Achievements Showcase. A line can contain 2 statistics, 1 achievement, or 3 items. You cannot change the number of elements within a row (for example, changing the number of elements from 3 to 2 or 4). You can only pin personal items. Items from your inventory and personal storage are added to the list if you are in a safe zone.

Interface and controls

  • Player interactions menu: the menu that appears now does not block controls or capture the mouse cursor. You can still move and shoot. To select an action, use the hotkeys indicated on the buttons.

  • Shop: when you left-click on an item in the Suitable for section on the style/motif page, the 3D model changes to show the selected item equipped with the style/motif. Minor issues with interactions involving item slots in sets are also fixed.

  • Season Pass: a notification now appears when the level increases. Updated icons and tooltips for rewards.

  • Task log: added the ability to pin exchange recipes.

  • HUD: added highlighting for events required to complete active quests.

  • Hideout: if another object is required to open an object, the tooltip now specifies which one.

  • Weapon examination: now has its own button in the settings.

Comment

Excessively powerful submachine guns are weakened, and less popular ones are slightly strengthened. The SR-3M and Vector lead the pack in terms of the number of kills and, at the same time, boast a very high kill efficiency.

Pistols

Sig Sauer P320

Damage: 75 → 74

The SIG Sauer P320 stands out from other pistols because of its great versatility: its massive damage per magazine and high comfort make it the preferred choice in far too many situations.

Magpul FMG-9

Recoil: 0.3° → 0.25°

Horizontal recoil: 0.26° → 0.25°

Increased FMG-9's comfort, as its high recoil was reducing this pistol's effectiveness too much.

Shotguns

AEK-965

The recoil after firing is slightly reduced.

Now, almost immediately after firing a shot, the shooter experiences a minimal level of stopping power.

ASh-12 Extended Magazine was at a significant disadvantage in terms of ergonomics, since the weapon's base damage is high enough for it to perform perfectly well even with a 25-round magazine. However, since the weapon isn't particularly effective even with a high-capacity, ergonomic magazine, it won't be weakened. Instead, the underpowered magazine will be upgraded.
