Update v1.9.1221

With the latest release of the Evolution DLC, a number of players have been experiencing some issues. Some have been introduced by running mods, or installed mods in the past that still have files present. 

This new update introduces a fix for crashes caused by Mods and additional fixes. 

If you are running mods that have not been confirmed as compatible with the latest version of the game by their creators, there may still be issues present (as mods alter game elements that the game relies on when running).

The new update includes the following:

Fixes

• Added Integrator plasma artillery and a multi-barrel upgrade for it.

• Expanded augment kit descriptions to clearly show which bonuses a squad receives at each upgrade level (kits of the same type can be upgraded to higher tiers or downgraded to lower tiers if desired).

• Fixed an issue with unlocking the "People Come First" achievement in Mission 3 and "Might Come in Handy" in Mission 5.

• Fixed a crash that occurred when the game could not access the "My Documents" folder. In this case, a message will now be displayed, and the game will create its data folder in an alternative directory (the new path is specified in the message).

• Implemented crash prevention for conflicts between the latest game resources and mods. The game will no longer crash, though mod-induced resource bugs may still appear in-game.

If you are still experiencing crashes or unusual behaviour anywhere in the game, please try the following:

• Disable all mods through the in-game mod manager interface.

• Only re-enable mods that have been updated by their creators and confirmed as compatible with the latest version of the game.

• For the majority of players experiencing mod-related problems, disabling incompatible mods should resolve the issue.

• If you have previously installed mods manually by unpacking files directly into the game folders, rather than using the designated Mods folder, you may need to perform a clean reinstall. Uninstall the game, manually delete the remaining game folder and the game's user folder in Documents, and then reinstall.

• Please make sure you back up your save files before deleting any folders.
