Farlands Physical Edition Is now available for preorder!

Just like we told you: things were coming. And oh yes, they were.

Not only are we still working on improving the Farlands experience and updating the game with more content month after month, but for a while now we’ve also been working together with Tesura so that, starting today, we can finally offer you a physical edition of Farlands. And just look at this beauty:

What you’re looking at there is everything included in the Collector’s Edition, which I’ll go into in more detail below. But if you simply want to own a physical copy of the game, it will also be available on Switch and PS5.

Both editions will arrive in stores on December 11th, which is only two months away, so if you love physical games as much as we do, this makes for a pretty perfect Christmas gift.

So, what exactly comes with each edition? Let’s take a closer look, because we’ve been working on this for a long time and we’ve been dying to share every little detail with you. Starting with the Standard Edition:

STANDARD EDITION

Just like the Collector’s Edition, the Standard Edition will be available for Switch, with Switch 2 compatibility, and PS5, with an RRP of €39.99.

Both the Switch and PS5 versions will include the physical game as well as an instruction manual inspired by the original Harvest Moon games, with a retro style that brings back the feeling of the farming games our team loves so much.

Since we’re still updating the game, the information in the manuals will eventually become incomplete, but they’ll still be a lovely keepsake representing Farlands as it was at version 1.0.

On top of that, I think it’s important to mention that the Farlands team is completely against PlayStation’s recent decisions regarding physical games, so we’re taking this opportunity to raise our fists to the sky and complain in the best way we know how: by doing the exact opposite and releasing our own physical edition of Farlands for PS5.

COLLECTOR’S EDITION

Moving on to the Collector’s Edition, this is where we’ve gone all out. For €89.99, which is only a little more than the latest Mario Kart, you get all of this:

• Physical game with instruction manual

• 10 cm Cottonbunny plush

• Character and animal standees

• Signed and numbered certificate

• Soundtrack on two discs

• Collector’s box illustrated as the spaceship

• Cardboard cutouts of the engines and rear wing

We’ve spent a long time working side by side with Tesura to fit all of these things into the Collector’s Edition and make it feel like a genuinely special release.

Starting with the plush, which is probably the star of the whole edition, it turned out absolutely adorable.

The whole process of designing and producing a plush has been incredibly interesting, and this ridiculously huggable little ball has really become the flagship item of the Collector’s Edition.

Of course, we couldn’t leave out the soundtrack by Enoc and El Pequeño Carlos, presented as a two disc set with artwork showing the farm during two different seasons.

Every Collector’s Edition will also be individually numbered and will include a planetary ownership certificate inspired by the advertisement sheet the player finds during the opening cinematic. And on top of that, it’s signed by the entire team.

For your shelf, there’s also a set of acrylic standees featuring the two protagonists along with several farm animals. They look great on display and pair perfectly with the final item included in the Collector’s Edition: the box itself.

This is probably the part I’m most proud of, because it turns the whole edition into something genuinely special.

Once you remove the outer sleeve, the inside of the box is illustrated to look like the spaceship. If you place it on its side and attach the included cardboard cutouts of the engines and rear wing, the whole thing becomes a complete little diorama.

You have no idea how excited the whole team is to finally be able to announce this. As I mentioned earlier, everyone on the team is a huge gaming fan and we all love physical editions, so the thought of being able to walk into a store, pick Farlands up from a shelf and buy it just like any other game makes our inner kids jump with joy and pride.
