For the past few days we tested partial gamepad support across combat, loot screens, events, camp, inventory, and other parts of the gameplay. Combat can now be navigated without relying on the virtual cursor, while controller navigation and button prompts have been improved throughout the game. You can also select Xbox, PlayStation, Steam Deck, or Steam Controller icon presets in the settings.

A new UI Scaling option improves readability on smaller screens and is enabled by default on Steam Deck.

Combat, Loot & Gameplay Improvements

  • Combat is now easier to read thanks to player action telegraphing, improved enemy telegraphs, and additional icons and tooltips. Passives and statuses are displayed more clearly, while Maximum Health loss is now highlighted in purple.

  • Loot screens now allow you to compare new rewards with your currently equipped dice and items at the same time, alongside improved controller navigation and inventory usability.

  • We've also improved first-launch graphics settings and rendering behavior for better compatibility with lower-end GPUs.

  • During the map exploration, herbs and boars have been replaced by supply crates, while crystals now restore Caravan Energy. Several Points of Interest and “?” events have also been fixed, with some tougher enemies on the second map adjusted.
