Oh Deer - Major Update Coming October 16!

We’ve been listening, and we want to bring Oh Deer back into the spotlight.

A lower price, better performance, bigger lobbies, more deer, and a new place to play. Here’s what’s coming on October 16th!

We’re planning to lower the game’s price from $9.99 USD to $7.99 USD.

Your support keeps our two-person studio going, and we want to make it easier for more people to jump in and play. We believe this price strikes a better balance between supporting our work and making the game more affordable.

We’ve spent the past nine months rebuilding Oh Deer from the ground up, with performance as our main focus. Our goal is smoother gameplay and a better experience across a wider range of PCs, so more players can enjoy the chaos.

You asked for bigger lobbies, and we heard you! We’re planning to increase the maximum lobby size from 5 players to 10. That’s 1 Hunter and up to 9 Deer, so start getting your friends together!

What’s Oh Deer without the Deer? Oh…

With the performance improvements, adding more deer felt like a no brainer. A bigger herd means more deer to hide among and more reasons for the Hunter to second guess every shot. We went from a default of 30 NPC Deer to **100 NPC Deer **and even still managed to increase the performance.

The October 16 update introduces cross-play between Steam and Epic Games Store players! Oh Deer will also launch on Epic alongside the update, so you can play with friends across both storefronts.

Bringing more players together is a big step for our two-person team, and we’re excited to welcome a bigger herd!
