Lest we forget - Anzac Day Patch is live!

The first major content patch for Over The Top: WWI is now live!

This update both honors the Australian and New Zealand soldiers of the First World War and expands the battlefield with new weapons, a new tank, and two community maps, alongside a wide range of improvements and fixes.

ANZAC UNIFORMS

Britain receives six new ANZAC uniforms, one for each class, featuring Australian and New Zealand troops, including Māori representation.

NEW WEAPONS

We’ve added 8 new weapons across factions, while also reworking loadouts to better fit each class.

Britain

• Martini-Henry Rifle A powerful single-shot rifle, already outdated by WWI but still used in reserve roles.

• Webley Self-Loading Pistol An early semi-automatic pistol, from Webley.

• Sawn-Off SMLE Mk III A close-range adaptation of the standard British rifle, suited for tunnel combat.

• Howell Automatic Rifle A experimental automatic conversion of the SMLE.

• Webley Revolver with stock and bayonet A rare setup combining a revolver with both a stock and bayonet for close combat versatility.

Germany

• Karabiner 88 A shortened bolt-action rifle used widely early in the war.

• Maschinengewehr 08/15 A lighter, but still heavy version of the MG08, bringing machine gun firepower closer to infantry.

• Mauser C96 with stock A semi-automatic pistol with a shoulder stock, turning it into a compact carbine.

NEW CLASS: LMG GUNNER

We’ve introduced a new class focused entirely on automatic weaponry.

• Centralizes LMG balance

• Moves Stormtrooper toward explosives

• Keeps Specialist focused on unique weapons

We hope this helps make class roles clearer and more meaningful.

ENGINEER EXPANSION

• New constructibles, including concrete trench walls

• Larger and more varied fortifications

• Reworked constructible UI:

  • Clearer layout

  • Easier selection

  • Better organization

Additional UI improvements have also been made, including updates to the troop menu.

NEW MAPS: MARNE & FOSSE-MARTIN

Two new community-made maps are now available in both Singleplayer and Official servers.

Marne by TheGamingHaribo features a river, a factory, and a French town set within rolling hills and open fields.

Fosse-Martin by Wilfried offers a more rural battlefield, with muddy terrain, trenches, and scattered farm structures shaping close-range engagements.

Medium Mark A Whippet

A fast British WWI tank built to break through lines and attack behind enemy positions.

Player Reporting and Moderation

• Players can now report others directly in-game, allowing our admins to respond faster and more effectively. Global ban and mute lists now update in real-time, removing previous delays in enforcement.

• We’ve also introduced a dedicated Code of Conduct to clearly outline expected behavior. We take toxicity seriously and will continue to act on it. You can view the Code of Conduct here.

Network and Performance

• Completely reworked network engine

• Lower ping

• Better input responsiveness

• Improved overall performance

Hit Detection

• Major improvements to hit registration

• More consistent gunplay

Gunplay Changes

• LMGs now slow movement while aiming

• Additional slowdown while firing

This makes them less effective as run-and-gun weapons and more situational.

UNIFORMS UPDATE

• New uniforms for Germany and France for the LMG class

• Minor updates to existing uniforms

QUALITY OF LIFE AND FIXES

• UI improvements across multiple menus

• Continued performance optimization

• Hundreds of bug fixes and smaller improvements
