Ratatan: Upcoming Bug Fixes and Updates

We have been reviewing your reports and feedback and are currently working on the following fixes and improvements. We apologize for the inconvenience these issues have caused.

Patch Schedule

We are prioritizing the issues affecting achievements and Episode 2, and we are aiming to release a patch early next week once the fixes and testing are complete. We are also preparing an additional hotfix for release in October.

Release timing may vary by platform. We will announce the release date and fixes for each platform as soon as they are confirmed.

Achievement Unlock Issues

We will fix an issue that prevents some achievements from unlocking in the full release, even if their requirements were met during Early Access.

However, progress toward the following eight achievements was not recorded in the Early Access version, so you will need to meet their requirements again. We apologize for the extra effort this will require from players who have already met them.

• Front Line Fashion: Equip an accessory on a cobun and embark on an adventure.

• Indestructable: Clear World 5 without being knocked down once.

• Ratatan Legend: Defeat 100 Dark Ratatan in total.

• My First cobun: While playing solo, deploy with exactly three cobun and clear World 5.

• Karuta Collector: Obtain Ratakaruta 300 times.

• Rhythm Paradise: Land 100 Just Judgment rhythm commands.

• Ratatan Master: Clear World 5 using all eight Ratatan.

• The Goddess Knows: While playing solo, clear World 5 with an Oath Level of 5 or higher.

Unable to Progress to Episode 3

Due to a bug, melodies at the Bonboya Gate in Rataport may be displayed as collected even when you have not met the required number of encounters with the Dark Ratatan.

As a result, you may be unable to progress to Episode 3 even though it appears that you have collected all the melodies. There is also currently no way to check which Dark Ratatan encounter requirements you have yet to meet.

We are prioritizing this issue and working to fix it as quickly as possible.

Multiplayer Issues

We have received multiple reports of connection issues, disconnections, and problems during gameplay. We are investigating the causes and will roll out fixes as they become ready.

If you encounter an issue, please let us know your platform, game version, and what was happening when the issue occurred via the feedback form.

Crossplay Support

We are working on crossplay between Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Crossplay requires platform approval, so we cannot commit to a launch date at this time. We will share another update once the schedule is confirmed.

Game Balance and Quality-of-Life Improvements

In response to feedback that Dark Ratatan from Episode 3 onward take too long to defeat, we will work on adjustments to make these battles less demanding.

We will also review your feedback on other game balance and usability issues and consider further improvements. We will announce specific changes and their release timing once they are confirmed.

Future Updates

Beyond bug fixes, we will continue expanding Ratatan with additions such as pets and Fortrun customization, alongside UI/UX improvements to make the game easier to enjoy.

We are also planning DLC, including worlds we have yet to reveal and new adventures to experience. We will publish a roadmap of upcoming additions and improvements once it is ready. We hope you look forward to the adventures ahead.

Preparing the console versions for release proved extremely challenging, and our first priority became getting the game ready across platforms.

As a result, many aspects of our work, including communication with backers and delivery of promised content, fell behind. We sincerely apologize. We will publish a Kickstarter update shortly with more details on the situation and our next steps, so please look out for it.
