An Update from the Anti Cheat Team - 05/21/2026

With Season 29 underway, we wanted to look back at Season 28, share ban numbers and showcase the anti-cheat work that went into one of our most secure seasons yet!

For the entirety of Season 28 (Feb 10- May 5), across all platforms, we issued a total of **139,697 bans on **accounts for various cheating infractions. Some highlights for specific bans:

DMA: **4,290 **HWID Spoofer: **7,136 **Automatic Hardware Detection: **10,658 **Xim/Titan: **3,865 ** We removed a total of **7,912,251 **RP from accounts with confirmed cheating infractions.

Split 1: 4,413,776 Split 2: **3,498,475 **

In Season 28, we implemented multiple new detection systems, while updating and overhauling existing ones. This equipped us to remove even more cheaters from our game and obtain the lowest match infection rate ever hit on Apex at 4.1%.

Additionally, the Anti-Cheat Team’s work kept our competitive scene secure, with **547 **denied entries into ALGS tournaments.
