Pathless Woods OPENTEST Beta Update: v0.6.0.1–v0.6.1.3
v0.6.0.1
-
Fixed player death synchronization and revive states on dedicated servers, plus client ponds repeatedly lowering or disappearing.
-
World Gate travel between worlds is no longer restricted by fog. Indoor-building checks and distant LOD colliders were also improved.
-
Adjusted the Chicken King's wind attacks, animations, and tornado behavior. Yaer patrols no longer spawn in the starting area during the first 20 days.
-
Fixed startup-language issues and notices or minimaps failing to refresh after changing languages.
-
Updated Buff icons and character-screen display, and fixed tree gathering, repeated NPC death resolution, and start-menu interaction after character selection.
v0.6.0.2
-
Fixed the Bronze Toad failing to return after a Moonwell rebuild. Bubble Flying Fish and Stonefire Deer combat behavior has also been corrected.
-
Fixed drying-rack pickup issues, cooking ingredient transfers, and adjusted selected rabbit-hide and wolf-hide recipes.
-
Fixed Nitrate Ice Vessel synchronization and older-save compatibility, with additional recipe, Buff, and quest localization fixes.
-
Fixed Black Forest grouping, Earth God Temple spawn points, lingering Buff sync while dead, and eating during the death state.
-
Fixed black terrain after multi-world building refreshes, revival opening the map, dedicated-server room IDs, and save-character lists.
v0.6.0.3
-
Fixed dead ingredient slots in cooking facilities and recipe recovery. Wild rush and fireweed root-drop rates were increased.
-
Fixed client scale restoration after Earth God teleportation, large crafted-item carrying visuals, and LOD creation order.
-
Ghost Flames now spawn only in foggy areas at night. Missing secret-realm World Gate entrances are restored for older saves.
-
Optimized section loading, grass budgets, and river sampling to reduce stutters while entering areas or building.
-
Fixed backpack ownership, stale tree-chopping animations, and completed new boss-drop and drying-rack presentation.
-
Fixed widespread missing icons caused by misaligned Addressables entries.
v0.6.1.1
-
Improved compatibility for multi-world saves and terrain data, reducing terrain issues and misplaced objects when loading older saves.
-
Fixed water, pond, waterfall, and client water-sync issues. Grass and volumetric fog should flicker less while moving.
-
Fixed cross-world teleporting, client movement sync, remote creature positions, and the firing feel of bows and slingshots.
-
Improved creature AI: toads now fight back properly, and creatures are less likely to get stuck while chasing, returning home, or dealing with obstacles.
-
Players receive a brief protection period after entering a world, preventing accidental deaths before terrain finishes loading.
-
Obtaining the Chicken King Skull now starts a guide for opening the next world. The skull can be offered at any World Gate.
-
Fixed terrain-following issues affecting Moonwell beams, World Gates, Demon-Sealing Stones, and similar objects.
-
Fixed issues with hoeing seed-stage crops and collecting their drops.
-
Fixed missing Buff previews in cooking pots and keyboard focus jumping away from text fields.
-
NPCs now replan sooner after waking up or changing camp jobs.
-
Adjusted selected ecosystem spawns, Nitrate Ice Vessel materials, and insect-catching timing.
v0.6.1.2
-
Reworked water-edge, slope-channel, waterfall, and terrain-digging water behavior to reduce white shoreline patches, trapped water, and incorrect water surfaces.
-
Respawn points are now stored separately for each world. After dying, players respawn in their current world.
-
Fixed an issue where players could remain flagged as in combat after death and revival, preventing normal saves.
-
Save imports now use the world name stored inside the save. Duplicate names are numbered automatically, and ZIP filenames no longer matter.
-
Improved section loading, terrain refreshes, and pathfinding cache behavior to reduce stutters while crossing areas, entering new regions, or updating terrain.
-
Fixed old terrain snapshots overwriting newer terrain heights after moving back and forth between areas.
-
Fixed Moonwell fog clearing for dedicated servers and clients, and prevented one-time tutorials from replaying after a client reloads a save.
-
Yaer invasions now include six tiers of guaranteed rewards and extra combat supplies.
-
Fixed invading Yaer enemies losing their target and returning home after getting stuck. Also fixed creatures getting stuck on pathfinding seams near map edges.
-
Recruited NPCs no longer damage player-built structures or crops. Scarecrows can still be attacked.
-
Improved map controls and quest guidance, including wider map browsing bounds and proper new-world guidance refreshes for clients.
-
Optimized colliders for selected props such as tin ore, and added missing unit icons for Liezhu buildings.
v0.6.1.3
-
Fixed remaining water visuals around slopes and shores, including shallow-water white patches and gaps along one-sided banks.
-
Fixed white waterfall curtains at low camera angles and flickering foam where water surfaces meet.
-
Map guidance lines now flow from the player toward the objective, making their direction easier to read.
