State of War Q&A, Siege Tent adjustments
Warriors!
Welcome to the latest Gloria Victis Weekly News! Today we are answering your questions about State of War, Siege Tent adjustments, announcing the winners of the latest community spotlight and sharing recent changes made to the game.
State of War – Questions and Answers
We saw plenty of questions asked about State of War and its mechanics. We gathered them up, and here are the answers.
Q: We can visit guild islands. Can we get looted or loot while visiting? A: If the guild you are visiting has a loot zone enabled, then you will be able to loot and be looted.
Q: How many people can visit at once? A: At this moment, we don't plan on setting a certain threshold.
Q: New members of guilds will have and CD to join to SOW? A: At the moment of the State of War's return, every new member will be able to join incoming battles without restriction. However, we will be observing this and, based on that and your feedback, we might implement a blockade.
Q: Do you plan to raise the max number of players in the guilds? A: At this moment, we don't plan on raising the player capacity in guilds.
Q: How will we decide who joins SOW if more players than spots are assigned? A: The guild leader decides who can take part in the battle. The guild leader is the default party leader, and he can kick players he doesn't want. That is kinda a ridiculous situation, because each player comes from your own guild or alliance.
Q: Will there be the option to Merc in fights? A: By Merc, we understand Mercenary, whom can be obtained and be allowed to enter the battle in State of War. At this moment, we will not have such a thing, but it's something to consider for the future.
Q: What rewards do you see for defenders? A: Defenders are rewarded with Technology Points based on their standing and results. Moreover, during battles, players will gain National Points and Contribution Points. Additionally, there will be the chance to loot someone if the battle takes place on an island with a loot zone enabled.
Q: What will the cost to initiate and attack be? A: In the first iteration of the State of War, there will be no cost for declaring battle.
Q: In SOW can we gain Nation Points? A: Yes. During State of War, everyone can gather Nation Points. In a loot zone-enabled island, you will get more points than fighting in a non-loot zone.
Q: Can we challenge guilds from other servers? Or only EU-EU, NA-NA? A: Yes. It will be possible to challenge guilds from other regions.
Q: Will there be any limitation in choosing the hour in SOW? A: The range of possible hours to choose from will be the same as now.
Q: Can I change the numbers of defenders after I get info that someone will attack me? A: Once a guild has an incoming scheduled battle on its own guild island, any change made to your island setting will take effect after the battle concludes.
Q: When does the day reset for an initiation attack? So if I wanna attack some guild but it’s already being attacked, when can I initiate again? A: The process should initially run once per day, using a one-day queue.
- If a token is generated on Monday, it is intended for the Tuesday slot.
- If a token is generated on Tuesday, it is intended for the Wednesday slot, and so on.
For example, if the SOW is scheduled for Tuesday at 8:00 PM, the token must be generated before 8:00 PM on Monday.
If the token is generated after the Monday 8:00 PM cutoff, it should no longer be assigned to Tuesday. Instead, it should be counted toward the next available slot (Wednesday).
Q: How often can you attack the same guild? A: Once a day, a guild can be attacked. Each guild can be attacked and declare a battle once a day. It means one attack and one defense per day for each guild. Take note that each guild can opt out of the State of War and won't be able to be challenged and declare a war.
Q: Will there be an option where we could do Ally vs Ally with no limit on participants? A: We see two questions in this, so let us answer them.
-
It would be possible to challenge a guild from the same nation as yours.
-
In the first iteration of the State of War, it won't be possible to have an Alliance vs Alliance battle.
Siege Tent adjustments
In today's update, we are implementing adjustments for the Siege Tent, which players build to siege a location in the loot zone. This change will make siege preparation and caring for the loot zone location more consequential.
Currently, the Siege Tent requires 50 boxes of Siege Tools to make it. Today, we are introducing modifiers that impact the requirement for boxes.
From now on, before the foundations of the Siege Tent are placed on the ground, the system checks the following conditions:
-
Bastion Efficiency level
-
Bastion Upgrade level
-
Deep Underdog status
Based on the result, the attacking side may get a camp that will require a different number of boxes to complete the Siege Tent. The range is from a base of 10 boxes up to 60 when the Bastion Efficiency level and Bastion Upgrade level are at their peak, and the nation that is under attack has deep underdog status. However, if the defending side is under attack by a nation with deep underdog status, the required maximum number of boxes falls to 40.
Q: Can a Siege Tent once placed change the number of boxes required when defenders upgrade the location?
A: No. Once you put it down, it stays with the requirement calculated at that time, but the next Siege Tent will require more boxes.
